IMPORTANT SAFARI BOOKING INFORMATION

SAFARI OCCUPANCY

Double Occupancy
  • ​All of our safaris and photographic tours are based on double occupancy, whereby two people will share a room and/or luxury tent.

Single Occupancy*

  • Should there be availability on our safaris and photographic tours, we can accommodate single occupancy guests travelling alone. There is a single occupancy supplement per person. Please contact us for more information.​

*Should we have two solo guests booked on a safari, we will let you know and should you wish to share a room, to avoid the solo occupancy supplement charges, we will do our best to match you with another guest of the same gender. This is completely optional at both guests discretion. 

TRAVELLING WITH CHILDREN

  • Family Friendly Camps: Most of the camps we use are family camps which have family/inter leading rooms to cater for families with younger children. -

    • Some of the camps we use have a minimum age of 12 years old. Please use the contact form if you require further information.

  • Transfers: Full rates for transfers apply to children of all ages.

  • Baby Sitting: We do not offer baby sitting facilities, but we can assist with children friendly activities during the day.

  • All kids under 16: need to accompany adults when they leave the camp. Adults cannot go for a game drive, boat cruise, or canoeing and leave kids in camp with guides, etc.

  • Children under the age of 6: are not permitted on game drives with other guests and you will need to book a private vehicle at an additional exprense.

CHILD RATES

  • Depending on the camps you are interested in, child rates usually apply for two age groups:

  • 0-6 years: are free of charge for most safari camps. (Subject to change, without notice)

  •  7-15 years: are 50% of the adult rate.

  • Children that are aged 16 and above: are charged at adult rates.

LUGGAGE ALLOWANCE

Due to traveling in vehicles and aircrafts with limited space, luggage is required to be packed in a soft bag. No hard suitcases are allowed, and oversized bags may not be carried on your lap.

 

An additional seat can be booked for extra luggage, subject to availability.

The luggage restrictions for internal light aircraft flights are as follows:

  • Strictly soft sided bags only; no wheels or hard frames;

  • Maximum weight of 20 kg <44 lbs), which includes hand luggage;

  • Size restrictions: 25 cm (10 inches) wide by 30 cm (12 inches) high and 62 cm (24 inches) long.

For loading purposes, we also require the weight of each individual so the pilot can plan accordingly. Persons over 120 kg <265 lbs) may be required to purchase an additional seat. Please  notify us on the Personal Information Form.

 

We, and our partner camps & charter services, reserve the right to refuse boarding to any guests not adhering to our luggage guidelines.

What is Not Included

  • Tourist Visas.

  • Travel Insurance.

  • Camera gear insurance.

  • Personal purchases (such as snacks, curios, satellite telephone calls, cellular phone calls, internet, laundry, etc).

  • Gratuities for the guides, staff at accommodations, and airport transfers.

  • Optional extra activities that are available, but have not been listed in your itinerary.

  • Pre- and post-safari tours.

  • Meals and accommodations before or after the safari.

  • International flights.

  • Health screening, including Covid PCR & RAT tests.

  • Anything that has not been listed in the itinerary/explicitly listed.

Safari Registration

  • We require all guests to complete the online registration form prior to making your deposit. The information captured in this registration process is only used by Photo Safari Company.

All Payments

  • Photo Safari Company use PayPal for taking the initial 25% deposit.

  • By using PayPal, you automatically benefit from PayPal's "Buyer Protection" at no additional cost to you. This buyer protection provides peace of mind when booking with us.

  • Photo Safari Company accept both PayPal and Stripe to take additional payments to complete your booking. 

Payments Terms

  • The 25% non-refundable deposit is to reserve your place on this safari.

  • Remaining balance of investment is strictly 90 days prior to start of the safari.

  • Should you fail to pay the outstanding balance, you will forfeit your deposit and your reservation on your chosen safari.

Payments Instalments

  • Please contact us if you would like to pay in instalments to help manage your finances.

Photo Safari Company Terms & Conditions

  •  Please ensure you read our Terms & Conditions as you will be accepting these as part of the booking process.

  • Photo Safari Company reserve the right to update our Terms & Conditions at any time without notification.​

  • By making and completing the booking process with Photo Safari Company, for your chosen safari, you are agreeing to our Terms & Conditions.

Rates Policy & Disclaimer

  • We reserve the right to amend our advertised rates should our costs increase due to unforeseen increases with our partners. However, will honour any confirmed booking at existing agreed rates.

- Confirmed Booking Definition: Photo Safari Company has invoiced the booking in full, received full payment for the booking.

Recommendations

  • We highly recommend protecting your investment with appropriate travel insurance.

  • All prices quoted on our website are US Dollars.

  • All payments made are to be in US Dollars. Should you wish to pay in another currency, please contact us.

Refunds for services not utilised.

  • We do not offer refunds for any services or inclusions that are not utilised during your booking, as part of your itinerary, hotel and/or camp/lodge inclusions.
